Patna, July 22: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced its Class 12 on Friday. This year the overall pass percentage is 92.71 percent. A total of 1444341 candidates have registered for the exams out of which 1435366 have appeared in it and 1330662 candidates have passed the examination. Girls have done better than boys.
The results of Patna zone was 91.20 per cent. Most of the leading schools of Patna including Notre Dame Academy, St Michael’s School, DAV School, Baldwin Academy, Kendriya Vidyalaya and BD Public School scored 100 per cent results. Sarthak Shaurya of St Michael High School became Patna topper in the science stream by securing 98.6 per cent marks. Shubhsanstha of Notre Dame Academy topped the arts stream with 98.8 per cent marks.
Tejal Sharma of Bishop Scott Girls’ School topped the commerce stream in Patna by securing 98.2 per cent marks. This time the result of Patna Zone is 91.20 per cent, which is 7.7% less than last year. However, this time the rank of Patna Zone has improved. This time Patna zone (Bihar, Jharkhand ) is in the top ten. Zone wise Patna is on the ninth position. Trivandrum zone is at number one with 98.83 per cent while Bengaluru has secured the second position with 98.16. Chennai ranked third with 97.79 percent.
This time also girls did better than boys as 94.54 per cent of girls have passed this year, while 91.25 per cent boys have passed. In 2021, 99.67 per cent girls passed. The percentage of girls has also come down by about 5 per cent.
St Karen’s High School: St Karen’s High School, Gola Road (Danapur) scored 100 per cent results in the CBSE class 12 results which were declared today.
As many as 320 students appeared in the examination and all of them passed. Over 76 stduents scored 90 per cent and above marks. School principal Seema Singh and Plus 2 in-charge Michael P Nayagam said that it has been a stupendous result under the guidance of our able teachers and blessings of the parents. The director of the school D. P. Galstaun congratulated the students and the teachers for their superlative performance and wished the students the very best in their future endeavours.
Nikhil Kumar Pandey of PCM group got 480 marks out of 500 and topped the school in PCM group with 96 per cent with Priyanshu Pratyay who also earned 96 per cent. Suman Suarabh was at the second spot with 95 per cent while Ashish Ranjan was at the third spot with 93.6 per cent.
In the PCB group Omar Jamal Tehami topped the group with 94.2 per cent. In the commerce group Diksha Raj and Shubham Kumar were the joint toppers with 94.8 per cent each.
However, Manjeet Kumar and Sana Kumari belonging to Humanities group emerged as the school toppers with 96.4 per cent marks.
